Reference Materials

There are a few reference guides you will want to have.  They will make your task easier and allow you to learn more about family history research and the right way to do it.  One thing I have found to be very handy is a reference book with the emails and phone numbers of different state sites or historical society's.  I have also made a point to get a membership to several historical societies.  They have people to ask questions of, databases that could be helpful and usually a subscription to a genealogy magazine.
